Lynn Valaes has spent more than four decades in the gym, and the last 13 years building something South Tampa didn't have: a private, all-women training studio staffed by specialists who understand exactly how a woman's body changes over time.
She founded Wise Women Fitness in 2013 after recognizing a gap that no big-box gym could fill. Women over 40 navigating menopause, managing health conditions, and recovering from illness were being handed the same programs as everyone else. Lynn believed women deserved better.
As an ACSM Certified Cancer Exercise Specialist and Pink Ribbon Program Breast Cancer Exercise Specialist, Lynn works with clients undergoing or recovering from cancer treatment, creating safe, evidence-based programming tailored to their specific medical needs. She also holds a certification in Balance Progressions, a critical and often-overlooked component of long-term fitness for women as they age.
Her philosophy is simple: sustainable transformation comes from programming that meets each woman where she is, not where a textbook says she should be.

Terrie Diaz knows firsthand what it means to train through adversity. Diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis in her twenties, she turned that experience into a career built on one conviction: that the right exercise program can change the trajectory of a woman's health, regardless of what she's managing.
Certified through both ACSM and NPTI, Terrie has spent years developing the instincts that only come from training real women through real challenges. She doesn't offer quick fixes or generic programs , she offers the kind of methodical, attentive coaching that produces results that actually last.
Her clients describe her sessions as focused, challenging, and surprisingly enjoyable - a combination that keeps women coming back, and progressing, year after year.

Brea Coquyt grew up in South Tampa and has been coaching women in one form or another since her teens. A former competitive athlete and half marathoner, she brings a genuine love of movement to every session, along with the technical precision that comes from her background as a licensed Florida EMT.
That combination matters more than it might seem. Brea understands the human body in a clinical context as well as a performance one. She knows what safe movement looks like, what warning signs to watch for, and how to push a client hard without ever putting her at risk.
Her training philosophy centers on a belief she holds firmly: that being strong is not a young woman's pursuit. It's healthy, powerful, and fully attainable at every stage of life.

Skylar Beetley's approach to training is built on a principle her clients appreciate quickly: results don't require extremes. No crash diets. No hours in the gym. No one-size-fits-all programs that fall apart the moment life gets busy.
